Win xp and new laptop

Wife need a new laptop but it has to have a win xp. Anybody know of a specific model that I can buy and has drivers available?

About a year ago my girlfriend bought a new laptop, and all of the ones she looked at came with Vista. She didn't care of course, but out of curiosity I asked the guy if you could downgrade to WinXP and get it cheaper. Dude tells me it would cost an extra $500 to get the same laptop with WinXP. Microsoft was really pushing vista eh, bunch of bullshit if you ask me.

that's the only one I found. I'd go with it if I were you ... I have a Toshiba Laptop that's about 5 years old now and it's running as great as the first day I bought it. Meanwhile we've gone through approximately 4 Dell pieces of crap that are a pain in the ass to format (need to install drivers separately from another CD even though they were factory options ... even then, manually) and have constant heat related issues and crappy power/battery related issues.

You could buy the laptop with Vista installed, then (if you can find it, newegg.com would be the first place to start looking) buy a copy of XP and install it. The main problem that you will run into is proprietary drivers for hardware that *only* has Vista drivers available. You can using XP drivers from different hardware vendors, but that can be a major headache and can cause conflicts with other drivers/hardware.

Why does it have to be XP?

She has been having problem with her palm software for her phone. We were told palm worked out the bugs with vista and bought a laptop try out.
