Flash drives
I somehow keep killing them. I was just recenlty reinstaling windows xp and had it plugged in. I dont know what I was thinking or did but I tried to delete the partition(which was the thumb drive). Well after I got everything back up It would recognize but not format. Is there anything I can do? Would partition magic help. I just lost some of my wifes data and she is gonna be pissed.

Try going to "My Computer"
Then right-click the icon for the removable drive.
Select "Format" from the menu.
See if that works

Oh... Well I don't know what partition magic is, but if you go to a place like www.download.com you should be able to find programs that help you reformat drives, or help fix corrupted drives (If it is).
