How old are the parts?? If there brand new, i wouldnt worry about it much because its prolly all the crap getting burned off. Was it cold outside? How old is ur oil and are u low/leaking it? Was the car cold when u did this or was the engine at operating temp?

Parts are broken in 1000+ miles, engine was not cold, it was like 55 degrees out, car has never consumed oil in the past, but the battery was dead before i started it, so the learning curves in the computer were lost, but i'm still worried about it

sounds good i wouldn't crank on it like that though at idle. i've always been told don't turn it over 2,000 rpm's unless it's under a load. especially at cold start up.

well it wasnt a cold startup, it was at operating temp, and i cant see that hurting the engine since under a load it has more stress on it... idk

yeah i think you misinterpreted what i was saying, basically i wouldnt go revving on it at cold or warm idle.

free revving a motor is like running down a hill. It is easier to do but it flings parts more quickly making for unstable harmonics and valve train instability. It may not hurt your engine right then and now but its simply not a good idea.

on the other hand running up a hill is more strainful but is more controlled, hope this analogy helps.

Ok OK every now and then i rev it to, just try not to do it to high.

Sounds nice...isn't it counter productive though to put LT's with flowmasters? You finally open her up with LT's and then throw the cork back in her mouth with the blowmasters.

The smoke loooks kinda white...are ya running lean?

Not sure if I'm running lean, but I am planning to get a tune, and I'm a believer that a Flowmaster muffler is not "counter productive" rather people dont know what they're talking about and assume a muffler company who has been around many more years than others, would design a muffler that doesn't flow better than a stocker.....

    At least its paid for.

I like the sound of the flowmaster cat backs. Too bad they don't flow very well. Yours sounds good with the Lt's and flowmaster.
