Dammit i really do think im gonna have to close mine often. I have a turndown on it now and I think with headers it might be too much for a DD that drives around only at night..

Thank God mine are electric. They are cool to open up for cruise-ins and shows but to actually drive anywhere on the street with them open is obnoxiously loud!!

Do electric cutouts really add that much horse, or are they just for the effect?

you will notice alot better throttle response depending on what your exhaust is,

mine for example, it can be dual cutouts off kooks 1 7/8 headers, same as lous,
or i can close the cutouts and run it through the stock catback.... there is a night and day difference over the two... sound esp... lol

Exactly, the car will accelerate with them closed, plenty fine, but you open them up and it will flat jump out on ya...

The turndown got rid of the rattle. DMH is pretty cheap. It was a random impulse buy. Im kinda tired of not being able to scare people. My car is always loud. I think the cutout flapper with make people think WTF!!?

Sounds great! Did you lose much ground clearance? It looks like you lost about a half inch or so. And they seal up nice and quiet.

I didn't lose anymore than what the cutout flanges lost. The motors tucked in nicely.
