Where should I purge outside the hood of my Camaro w/o a cop be able to find the line

I am purging right up the center of my windshield now, but you can easily see a hose running to the black plastic piece that holds are windshield wipers. It looks cool when I purge, but would be hard to hide.

I am in the process of hiding my whole kit so it is not visable to the average cop, but I am not sure where I should re-route my purge to? I don't want to purge under the hood, so I still want to have some fun, I just don't want it to be noticable if you pop my hood.

    Where do you guys purge?

    Thanks,

    Rich

Why does it matter if the cops see it?

N2O is illegal for street use! I do believe the cops can pull you over and ticket you for it if your bottle is open!!!

It is true. I was pulled over before the NX system was put on for loud exhaust (SLP LM) and the cop asked me to pop the hood so he could check if I had any illegal stuff (mainly looking for long tube headers). Luckly, I had nothing but a lid and a stb...he said "did that come on the car too" pointing to my red stb, and I told him I bought it that way.

I have a remote bottle opener, so I could not fight the fact that the bottle is closed versus open since I can make that happen in about 3 seconds. It is just one more step to take to make sure my car is not sent to the pound!

I was told here in oklahoma that if a highway patrol pulls you over and your valve is open, they can impound the car. I don't know if that is true or not. But that is what I was told.

What about out the front bumper? In one or both of the holes that are next to the front license plate?

They cannot do anything to you just because it's visible. My purge was at the base of the windshield also but you had to really look, it wasn't noticeable. And my bottle was mounted between the 2 back seats on that hump. I was pulled over numerous times and never once received any violation just for having it. I was asked a few times if I had been doing any racing and I let them look at the pressure gauge which showed 0psi, and that proved that it was turned off. Just don't drive around with your bottle armed and ready (which most people don't do anyways) and you shouldn't have any issues.

And you don't have to pop the hood either. They can look around the car which they did to mine several times looking for illegal exhaust, but I had my car lowered and they couldn't ever get their magnifying glass far enough under the car to see the cut-outs.

Of course I live in Texas, so things may be different where you are!

I just did some research and everything I read says it is perfectly legal. There are no laws one way or the other for using it on the street.

you could always purge like around the mirror... or where the fender meets the windsheild pillar you could run a small tube and spray out the gap...

just take your finger and point to a place and tun your tube there...

I've heard rumors that you can be ticketed or get in trouble for street-racing if the bottle is ON, but not sure how that could be true cause what about the people with superchargers/turbo's? Do they get ticketed every time for having something that helps them go faster...they can't turn it off so why should our bottles have to be turned off? I left mine off just to be on the safe side though!

Thanks for all the info guys....I guess having the purge down low might help from a cop seeing it...this way by the time I get pulled over, I have already used the remote bottle opener to close the bottle and purged the line down low in front of the car...there is no way a cop will hear the purge with the red cherry's and blueberry's going off! Maybe this is where I will reroute it to!

    Thanks!
