    Venom NOS

Does anyone else have this setup. I want to know how well it is going to work with the LS6 427. I have it but it isn't installed. I am in Iraq and I want to know if it is a good choice or if I should send it back.

I believe they pulse your fuel injectors. Not the best way to do it. We offer a progressive controller that pulses the solenoids and has a whole bunch of other features for $299.99. Here is a link for more info:

as Matt mentionned, not the best approach, because the Venom system pulsates the injectors and not add pulse width... which means that if the enjector is already open for fuel, the venom opens it, and doesn't add time for it to stay open... which means that in that case, there will lack fuel.
in the case where the injector is not being pulsated by the engine NA needs, you will get it to pulsate perfectly and have enough fuel.
Most ppl that had Venom kits ended up wiring them before the maf and not pulsating the injectors, with better results... so might as well just get a NOS 5177.

does this pulse spray into the injectors or does it just pulse both at the same time. what problems were they experiencing?

the nitrous spray would be after the MAF, so it wouldn't know about the presence of the nitrous.
The Venom kit would be aware and pulsate the injectors for the added fuel.
The problem is that ppl were getting some pistons getting very lean.

I worked for venom...they have had numerous problems with their kit..they gave me a vcn1000 and it malfunctioned all the time...they were trying to inject it like a wet kitt based off being able to "take control" of the injector pulse...I and a former board member finally convinced them to stick a nozzle in the airbox like the 5177 kit and it worked ok...they are not very V8 minded, they have made their living off ignorant honda drivers and the "tech" is a former army electronics specialist that could not give two shits about cars and making horsepower...ive heard him say it on many occasions "its just a friggin paycheck to me".....I'd go NX or something ANYTHING other than venom...

send it back... also another drawback is the 45sec bootup sequence.
People that had them ended up sticking the nozzle before the MAF working like a conventional kit and not making it pulsate the injectors.
It's a very expensive dry kit if you ask me.

Any supporting info to your statement pertaining to progressive controllers and solenoid damage you can provide I/we would appreciate it. Many folks running around with WOT switches/Window switches are curious.....

sent back yesterday is there a way to set up the 5177 so that everything is somewhat hidden away. I just don't like the look of all the hoses running everywhere. and where can I get a good price on the 5177 and what kind of jets should I use to get just 120 rwhp for it.

it does wear the solenoids faster... since they are being pulsated.
ppl that have big DP and use them, tend to change solenoids often... cheap insurance.

Ah Ha....I took his statement wrong then...he is talking specific to pulsating solutions...not window switches/WOT setups..like Nitrous Express wet shots etc. then correct? I'm still learning this Nitrous world But I do live the "kick" I'll admit that!

I wouldn't say they are HORRIBLE on your solenoids. They will wear them out faster as you are pulsing them, but that is what lifetime warranties are for on solenoids. There is always a bit of a trade off when it comes to modding your car. Put a big cam in and you make more power but you get some drivability issues. Pulse the solenoids and you can spray sooner (traction) but you'll have to rebuild them more often. At least it's a free rebuild if yours have a warranty.

you'll be fine w/ a NX wet shot... just make sure you have the safety devices.
    WOT-switch, FPSS, Window-Switch.
and since it's wet, a bottle heater is recommended for consistency, so the A/F doesn't fluctuate much w/ different conditions.
After all, you assuming hte nitrous pressure is always the same, since you dumping always same amount of fuel.

Have all the above plus bottle heater...blow down tube....bottle jacket...purge of course.....and guages to show me the bottle pressure and fuel pressure....

Even If You Have A Warranty On Your Solenoids You Still Have To Take Them Off And Rebuild Them Which Is Always A Hassle. There Are Better Ways To Do It Than A Progressive Controller. Especially On A Street Car

how much nitrous you thinking on spraying to consider a progressive controller ?
if anything, might consider a 2-stage instead.
