    Stock parts

Anyone here running Nitrous with stock bottom end, stock tranny and rear end? No Forced Induction just the usual bolt ons and internals with a bottle? Just wondering if anyone is and hasn't had any major problems.

I am aware of one other. Friend of mine had a 98 Z28 that he ran a 175 shot on with stock engine, auto tranny and rearend.

He added a catback, 3.73 gears, and an offroad Y-pipe on the stock manifolds. He ran this car for 2-3 years that I recall with only issue being one broken rearend. Started with a 60,000 mile car and sold it with 110,000 on it,,,still kicking.
With a drag radial it ran 11.30's at around 119 mph. 60 foot times were in the 1.57-1.59 range. No window switch.

wow those are amazing times for being almost stock minus the Nitrous. Yeah I'm thinkin about maybe just 100 shot or so maybe up to a 150 but no higher. I might put a 9 inch in before i go to the nitrous and I have def thought about having my transmission beefed up a little I have a few friends that own shops so I can get one for cheap and have it built. If only I were rich, yeah I think i will def have a power switch because I could see me getting pissed on the interstate riding behind an old couple in the right lane and watch me accidentally kick it and waste some nitrous when i get to high in the rpm range.

Ya nitrous can be a wonderfull thing if done right. These LS motors in stock form seem to really respond well to nitrous. Now if GM would have just built these things with forged pistons.......

Was that on street tires?? I ask because that MPH would make that a bottom 11 second car easily. Looks like it was running right on par with my buddies car.
He started with a 150 shot as well, can't remember what it ran then. But he decided to push the envelope and within a week he bumped it to a 175 and that's where he left it.

No no no if GM made these cars with all the mods we wouldnt have losers buying mustangs and imports that we can bust their ass and prove our points as to why these cars really are better.
