Silver- 2000 Camaro SS
If the engine is still in good condition, it is fine. Mine has 124,000 miles and I just installed a cam and sprayed a 150 all last season.

Black/Black- '00 Firebird WS6 T/A
my v6 took to the spray like a duck to water. running a pass spraying actually knocked .2 off my n/a time the first time i went to the track, i sprayed one, changed the jets and then forgot to hit the arm switch at the line so i just went down n/a... that thing had 165k on it at the time. haven't sprayed the ls1 yet though and i think i have decided not to.

Works AWSOME better than a new motor seeing that they are not assembled for high cylinder pressure in ANY way.
The bearing clearences are greater which works to your advantage. And as long as the motor was taken care of the cylinders should be groove free. Which also means your ring gaps are greater which is how we set motors up for nitrous. When the motor is "tight" and fresh ring gaps are tight which is not good. When you blow bottle the rings butt together which will leed to ring failure.
Do a compression test on the motor. Please do yourself a favor and do it with the motor at operating temp NOT cold in the garage with the trottle body WFO NOT closed trying to get air through the idle circuit. As long as they are close and within 10-15% at the most your fine.
It does help to run thicker oil on sealing the rings and will leed to less blowby.
We have done 5 liter Stangs for years with over 200,000 on them on 250 shot for years with NO issues. 91 and earliers all have stock fordged pistons.Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!

So my ? is, you are not recommending that I spray a FRESH rebuilt motor until how many miles are on the motor?

That's fine on a fresh motor if it was set-up for the bottle. When we assemble a motor if it is going to see high cylinder pressures whether it be from a turbo,S/C,or nitrous the ring gaps are set greater so they don't butt and hit eachother.
We break motors in the way they are going to be driving. If it is going in a race car we run it for a while to get up to temp set valve lash while hot and go drive it around the block one or twice....Change the oil and go to the track.
If something isn't right I want to know right now not a month later after I pussy footed it for 500 miles. Now the tools are all put up cherry picker is back at the shop ect......

My internals will be stock except for the milled crank shaft. Mine spun a bearing. Not sure what to do to make it ready for N2O. I am keeping the stock pistons. The shop says they are fine and just got the rods milled. What do you reccomend from there? Looking at the HSW wet plate system

Your fine for 150 with stock rings. Have you already put the heads back on? If so you used stock head gaskets. If you haven't purchased them yet do yourself a favor and buy the FelPro MLS or the Cometic they like nitrous much better than stockers.
That looks to be a nice sytem I can't speak first hand I haven't ever used any of there stuff myself.
Just get a plate design that sprays behind the throttle body and is wet.

I have bought the gaskets but not installed yet. No problem to change them at this point. Thanks of the input.

Pretty sure that i have an ARP set for the heads. I think that is what the engine shop ordered for me.

Are the Fel-pros or the Cometics available at any parts store. Or special order through Jegs/Summit?
