is routing the NX lines through inside to the engine bay normal?

well instead of routing a line undernieth is it cool to route the lines threw the inside like drivers side threw the door sill-then to the solinude threw the firewall??

one danger/caution to that is, if there is a leak, then the gas will enter into the cabin of the car and affect you and your ability to drive. when the lines are plumbed outside and under your car, you will not succumb to the 'laughing gas'...

Your fine to run them where ever.....Just make sure they don't get pinched and straping them is also a good idea. That steel braiding can wear paint off in NO time.

A friend of mine had a nitrous kit in the trunk of his civic, he had the rear seat folded down. With the lines ran inside.... He flicked a cigarette out of the window, it came back in. The cigarette landed beside the nitrous line and we all know what happens next. The one thing I like most about f-bodies is the location you can put the bottle (spare tire well) because an accident like that is HIGHLY unlikely. Long story, but I'd run em' underneath... Better safe than sorry. Just my .02

No, actually, we all don't know what happened next... Since nitrous alone is not flammable. Read the "Internal combustion engine" section of the following link:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitrous_oxide

You are right on the one count however - my line and bottle for that matter is hidden through the entire cabin area - as would be most folks that install their lines thru the interior...

In my humble opinion you've got a much better chance of the line being compromised under the vehicle by some road debris than damaging it when its routed inside.

Sry, I just don't like speculation or story telling time very much...

I would tell your "friend" from the Fast and Furious he is FULL OF SH_T!!! And STOP making up stories to his "friends"!
Sorry but I have done MANY experiments over the years and that cigarette is NOT going to do squat!!

The nitrous bottle burst somehow... cigarette or not. Perhaps the lines being inside didn't have anything to do with the accident... All I can tell ya is what he told me, whatever happened was bad. If I can find pics of his civic and/or the right side of his face & right arm I'll post em...

Was that before or after the cigarette lit some part of his car on fire? And wtf with the bottle bursting. Honestly. You're telling us the BOTTLE burst before the burst disc did? There's a whole LOT of story missing...
