    1998 Camaro SS

    plugs for nitrous?

    I am going to be runnnig a 75-100 shot dry on my 98 ss m6. also have 42# injectors and walbro fuel pump. last summer i put in iridium spark plugs......now my question is are those ok to run with the nitrous? everyone i hear uses tr6's which i have no idea what those are but am wondering if i have to change out my plugs or no for nitrous?

    Iridium itself is perfectly safe with nitrous use. What you need to do is make sure that the heat range will be sufficient for what you're looking to do. Do you know the part number on them?

    The TR6 is a NGK brand spark plug that is 1 heat range colder than stock. This has generally been the plug of choice for smaller shots. Shoot me over a PM with your email address and I can send you an up to date spark plug reference chart. Thanks.

    I prefer Autolite plugs. Autolite 103 for up to a 150 shot, AR94 up to a 250 shot. I am currently using AR94 and have only sprayed a 200 shot so far. Completely stock bottom end here. I may get up to a 300 shot for the '09 season.

    I would recommend you step down to a AR93 for anything more than 200.
    Specially if you step up to 300.
