Nitrous w/Stand Alone Fuel
I'm wondering what the benifits are and whether its worth it?
If using a stand alone setup like HSW offers, do you still just use pump gas (93) like your running in the car, or can you step up what the stand alone is using to race fuel? would this make any difference (tuned of course)
Been doing alot of reading on the different kits and nitrous in general here recently, but haven't found anything on this.
edit: HSW system I glanced at http://www.harrisspeedworks.com/prod...&cat=68&page=1

If using a standalone with 116 then your car doesn't have to be tuned as rich as it would have to be ordinarily. Theoretically, you should get more ponies from your nat aspirated tune. I'll be able to tell you more on friday because I'm going to tune my 125 shot on the dyno.

On smaller shot in the 150hp range the only real benifit to the stand alone is it does not tax your fuel system as hard. If your car is lightly modded with a good pump you can get away without the stand alone. Once you really start to push a car. You free up the restriction of the small stock fuel lines and open up another tuning option with the seperate fuel system for the nitrous.
That being said you can run a higher octane fuel in the stand alone and you can adjust your AFR on the nitrous by changing the fuel pressure that your stand alone is set to.The first nitrous powered LT1 in the 8's.
