    N20 on stock ls1

Is a 150 wet kit safe for a 50k stock ls1 with cb exhaust. Its my first attempt at N20. Do I need a tune or will this be safe?

you do not ABSOLUTELY need a tune. i took my completely stock 00 formula and added a 150 wet shot. went 11.97 @117.

now, if you wre going to try a 150 dry shot, then you'll need to play with the tune some.

Oh really...? I was under the impression that for anything over 100 shot (wet or dry) that a tune was in order to dial in your a/f ratio and make sure there was no detonation?

I'm guessing that wouldn't apply if you already had a decent sized cam and wanted to throw on a 100 wet shot like I'm contemplating on doing this summer?

We ran a 175 shot on a 155k mile motor on the stock tune, so it definately can be done.

Its really debatable. I personally recommend people to pull timing on nitrous and to at least get it on a dyno to verify a/f. Any adjustments in a/f should be made via fuel jet on a wet kit or nozzle placement on a dry shot (unless using Interface controller). There are a bunch of ways to address the timing as well, you don't have to necessarily take it out of the N/A tune.

it's always nice to go and check to make sure everything is doing ok. but is is not ABSOLUTELY necessary.

in your case with having a cam, your tuner may have added some timing. even still the factory timing table in the upper rpms are 26*-28*.

no tune needed. i ran 150 wet shot, with ported heads, tr224 cam, headers and full bolt-ons for several years, on a completely stock tune. obviously tune for me would of helped, none the less never had a single problem.

YES with a STOCK tune you'll be just fine with a 150 shot!
Now since your not running a stock tune than WHO KNOWS.
Your tuner probably added timing as already stated NOT TO mention he should have leaned out the A/F at WFO.
A 150 is definitely on the safe side if we are talking about a quality kit that's properly installed.

I have sprayed twice that for years with over twice the mileage with NO issue's.
Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!

You need an aftermarket fuel pump.

I agree with you 110%. It's always better to be safe than sorry. Just because someone else got away with it doesn't mean you will.

    Why gamble, do it right.

The best I could muster on the stock pump was 470 rwhp.
