just tune it. hptuners costs $500, you can tune your friends' cars and make it back as well as being able to actually increase the performance of your car - instead of just half-assing your way into a few degrees' less timing which probably wouldn't prevent any major nitrous mishaps anyway.

ive got efi live but don,t know how to tune yet, (need to learn) i dont want to give up timing when not spraying. Just like to have a little insurance. Ive been spraying the car for 5 years, so far so good but recently stepped up to 150 wet kit from 125 dry, big differance.

actually, learn to tune.. it isn't hard.. but you will learn of some cells in the timing table that are about the highest you'll hit without n2o, so cut more timing in the row below those.

im working on learning the tuning, not worried about that, heard there was a way i could wire the iat to retard timing only when n20 is on. Thunder racing has a timing adjuster that does exactly that, just trying to save some $.

don't see how that would work.. you just get out, plug it in and then when you're done spraying unplug it? it won't retard more than a few degrees anyway - you're better off just holding back the spray until you learn to tune for it.

no i would assume it would be wired to the n20 arming switch with some kind of bypass or resistor to alter timing, heard about the thing and wanted to check out, im just gonna get the unit from thunder racing.
