    Fuel Pump size...

I may be replacing my fuel pump in the not to distant future...I was planning on putting this nitrous system on a 383 Stroker and installing it in my T/A over the winter...what size pump should I get for this if I was planning on a 180 shot from this kit?

Sort of a premptive upgrade for future mods to come type thing...

That NOS kit is designed to work with the stock pump.........
however you may install a better pump is you so desire.

i run that exact kit, but with their intake manifold, instead of using the NXL les. i run the walbro 255 lph and racetronics hot wire kit with my 408 motor and it. i have mine set to 250. fuel pressure starts at 52 psi. when i hit the button i see a fuel pressure drop to 40 psi for a split second. this is because the fuel supply pulls directly off the rails.

also, get the accumulator to ease the drop.

here's pics of my NXL DP and intake

    Mrr23,

I'll be PM'ing you in a month or two to get part numbers and what not from you. If it works for you, then I'd like to do the exact same thing. Nitrous is like a different language for me (I've never done an install before), and the only way I'll figure it out is if I put it on my car...and to be quite honest, I don't have the money to mess up. Thanks

I built his one over 5 years ago; 250hp single-stage direct-port on a 450hp 383cid rat-killer...6" connecting rods, custom pistons, dart heads, gear-driven comp hydraulic-roller cam and full-roller valve-train....the gear-drive made a whine that would make people think twice about getting crazy if the exhaust note did'nt get their attention first.....after building motors for everyone else i built this one for myself.....don't have it anymore but it was fun when the driveshaft would stay in

the images would'nt download so here is the link to the site..http://mad-dog16.tripod.com
