50 shoot 100shoot etc refers to the size of the jet. It is not always going to net you said horsepower. The numbers are more or less a guide.

That a pretty rough assumption to pass to the original poster... Having a cam means that the car has been tuned already. You don't have any idea what his advance looks like.

If the car has already been tuned, he needs to ask his tuner what he can and can't run to make sure that things are safe.

    A 50 shot!!

I Don't even put that small of a shot on the 4 cylinders I do. What are you trying to pick up a couple mph on the big end? It is a waste of money and time in my opinion to do a 50 shot.

Safe WHO knows about you current set or even Tune for that matter.

A stock LS motor will handle 175 ALL day with a quality kit,255 pump, and a decent tune.
Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!

If its tuned with a cam I am pretty sure your timing has been advanced a good bit. I wouldn't run anything 75 shot without pulling your timing.

Add a pump and harness (or heavy hot wire if DIY), get a wet kit (fuel ties into the rail; easy), bottle heater, window switch, and bottle-mount pressure gauge, jet for 150hp, run a colder plug /tighter gap, and take it back to your tuner. This is what I consider to be the most bang for the buck/bare essentials.
