Where? On the back of the seat?

If you're doing that, you mine as well pull the seats out and either mount it on the driveshaft hump or down in one of the seat cavaties...

Uhmmm... When you mount a bottle inside, you have to use a blow down tube. wouldn't want to run that through the seat... If you don't want to mount it up on the rear deck, you can mount the bottle upright in the trunk. I keep mine up on the deck for display !!!

    ...but why?

Why not just make a removable bracket for between the seats with the seat up? I cut a mounting board that goes in the spare tire well and is held in place by the antenna bar, but can be removed and mounted on the area behind the raised seats using those little metal hooks...

you need a blow down tube to "legally" race in any f body 'cause there isn't a trunk.
