    150 wet/dry kit on a hawk

I just wanted to know if it would be okay to put a nitrous kit on a pretty much stock hawk. I have minor bolt ons, but performance places told me that 150 shot of wet would be fine, that i wouldnt have any problems. I dont know if they were just sayin that to make me buy it, or what. I always wanted a 80 shot of dry, but many people told me it wouldnt be worth it. What do you guys think?

wet is better from a tuning and upgrading aspect.

with a dry, you have to rely on the MAF and injectors to supply the additional fuel. if the nozzle isn't placed right, the MAF won't read correctly and not provide the needed fuel. also, if you ever want to go above 125ish, then you will need to upgrade the fuel pump and injectors.

with a wet kit, it provides the added fuel through the nozzle via the fuel rail. no need for larger injectors this way. you can tune it by changing the jets to get the proper a/f ratio. i've been to 200 on the stock pump.

I wouldn't recommend spraying a car that is not programed... and by the way the preditor is the way to go!

um ok. guess i should've never sprayed my car with stock programming for the last year or so.

and predator isn't the only way to go. there are better ways.

well, i think i know my fair share.

just a couple of things i've done personally:
    nine nozzle test i did
    http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22348

    small solenoid vs larger solenoid
    http://www.centralfloridastreetcars....eshootout.html

    dry vs wet test
    http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27619

i did some dyno and track testing for vinci high performance and their tuner

    currently using hptuners

you make these statements without any reasoning behind them. i'm sure you have some great qualifications, but we just don't know what they are. oh and my greatest feat, IMO, is when i took my black car completely stock, no modifications whatsoever, and put 150+ nitrous on it and went 11.97 @ 117. all stock down to the tires. mull over my webpage just on my black car. http://www.stealthram.com/2000pontiacformula.html

mrr23 is very knowledgeable. He has helped me out on many occasions in my short period of time having my ls1, wether he knows it or not. Its just hard not to notice your contribution to this site, 4 posts or so, and think that you know what you are talking about. From what I understand both setups are good, it just depends on what you want. I personally have a wet set up and have had no problems with it yet. A problem with the wet set up is the potential for the selinoids to stick open and possibly backfire. The dry set up has to rely on the MAF to compensate for the nitrous.

wheel hop can be caused by a couple of things. shocks is one place to start. getting aftermarket trailing arms is another. trailing arm relocation brackets is a third.
