Cold Air Intake
Well, I am starting to upgrade my car and was wondering what you guys thought of the cold air intake from slp http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...14&BIG=21014-1
Any opinions, thoughts, or recomendations will be great. Also, would ram air get me more hp?

Very nice, but its made of metal and warms up as the car does.
The Plastic ones from K&N or Moroso are more efficient.

K&N, Moroso and SLP all have the same benefits, but SLP looks best. Go for what you can afford, or go for style.
The K&N is stock quiet, Moroso makes a "Woosh" at WOT and SLP makes a sucking air sound.

I have an K&N, its lighter then the SLP metal one and does shed the heat faster.
But as to its loudness, there is always a hiss that I can hear at idle, and increases as you the rpm goes up... although with a wide open borla you cant here it anymore above 2krmp but i'm sure its loud bwahaha

I think I am going to go with the Moroso since i can find it the cheapest. Oh last question how, How easy is it to install a K&N or Moroso intake?

Less than 20 minutes if you know your way around the car.

Took me over an hour ONLY because the goddamn filter is damn near impossible to get on once the kit is in, well atleast with my hands I recommend dearly that if your filter was as tight as mine I'd put it on out of the car and leave it on for a few hours to loosen up. I could not for the life of me get it on the tube, worse then changing the spark plugs OVerall though I had everything out and new pieces in (minus the filter in about 15 minutes. Its horribly simple operation.
