My wifes uncle has one is his garage that he bought brand new, and it only has 2,500 miles on it. He just lets it sit there and never drives it anywhere, and the only reason it really has any miles in the car is because he drove it from California to Alabama where he lives now. The engine in the cars are made by Volvo (3.0 v6) and the transmission are from Audi, if I remember correctly.

you know deloren did have vison If you recall he was the one who wanted to put a big engine in a mid sized car. just a little auto called the GTO the begining of the muslecar! he was a great man and did so much for automotive comunity If he would not have gotten into so much finacial trouble i belive he could have made some amazing cars.

Yes, they only came with a bare stainless body, and NO they are NOT made my GM. How could you even try to credit GM with such a disgrace of a car?!?

DMC as someone said, stands for Delorean Motor Company. The person who started the company is John Delorean, and before he started DMC he was an exec with GM. He was well known for developing the Pontiac GTO. He died at 80 years old in 2005.
As far as the car, it still looks pretty cool, but it needs some better looking wheels/tires. Where is the time traveling equipment?
