"Check Gauges" light on, how much fuel is left?

On my 01 WS6 when the fuel is low the "Check Gauges" light comes on. Approximately how many gallons are left when this occurs?

Not sure how much is left, but be nice to your fuel pump and never let it get that low.

When the light comes on, FILL IT UP. Then subtract what you put in from 15.5 gallons.

16.5 on a '01 - don't think it'll be the same every time though. Just tell her how much it's gonna cost HER to replace the pump...

Sorry! Your right! Why did they increase the size of the gas tank. I think I read somewhere that it was emissions related.?

they went from a steel tank to a plastic one, i think with the plastic they were able to squeeze an extra gallon in.

Don't know why, but they are different - even the gas cap on 98, then 99 and up isn't the same. Lots of things are different on the 98's....
