    silly cam question

    This may have been asked and might be a silly question but does LS-1 vette and F body have the same cam? just always wondered thanks Rich

    I cannot find good specs on the vette cam but here is some info that I have..

    Corvette vs F-body LS1:
    -exact same heads
    -exact same block
    -exact same crank/rods/pistons
    -exact same intake manifold
    -slightly different cam specs (negligible)
    -different shaped oil pan
    -different serpentine belt pulley layout

    and here is the specs on the cams for the fbody/ ls6 through the years.

    I hope someone else can chime in with the exact vette cam specs for ya bro.

    I would say this part is definatly a little off on the exhaust side.. that exhaust valve almost never closes lol
