98 Trans Am Vs. 05 Silverado SS
Here's the deal, this guy in a 05 silverado ss (stock)has been talking alot of trash lately... does anyone know what numbers/ hp/ any info about the new silverado ss.
I have a 98 T/A M6 (non ws6) stock (except for short throw and k&n, so pretty much stock).
What kind of race am I looking at? Anyone know what the outcome might be?

SS Silverado
If we are magazine racing; according to my July 2005 edition of motor trend, a 2005 "STOCK" silverado SS makes 345 HP/375 lb-ft of torque from it's 6.0L which sends it 0-60 in apprx 6.7 secs and through the qtr mile in 15.1 sec @ 90.5 mph. You will SMOKE his ass if you're any good at all. AWD and 5023lbs makes for not a fast truck. Now, if it was a Dodge SRT-10 or a Lightening, you might worry a little bit. MHO

New story.... I went to race the kid today. He actually showed up! but the kicker is that he told me that he was not going to race because his SES light is on... (go figure), so I told him that I had a code reader and he told me that he wanted to check it, when I got out of my car and opened the rear hatch that pussy just hauled- ass out of there... WTF was that? Pretty lame......

Those videos of Parish and it is a Silverado...short bed, are f'n awesome!!!! that is one quick truck that looks totally stock!!! He prolly just blew his transmission...I remember reading somewhere that that was already his 2nd tranny in that same truck....launches like that in a heavy truck while in 4wd is hell on those trannies....nevertheless...still an awesome truck, from a roll or a dig!!!
