Depends on how you set it up.
    Probably more than $5K though.

Heads, cam, and bolt-ons tend to make 425 RWHP.

Check out my sig i spent about 2500 for parts roughly, i'm gonna do heads next -PRC LS6 Heads, Gaskets, Head bolts, and another dyno tune and that will run me about another 1600 so that kinda gives you an idea but that all depends if you decide to go with the budget stuff or the expesive stuff.

Well Mr. Lous my combo is pretty basic and i should hit 450 with heads and i have a pretty mild cam compared to most. But for auto i'd say 425 is expected.

Small Bore 225 will not work that great on a stock cubed LS1 imho. Low end will suck compared to other combos. You are better of with a Trickflow 215cc set of heads and a healthy cam in the 239-240 range. Maybe something like Patrick's cam (on LS1Tech) or a custom ground MS4 on a 110 LSA+4 should put nice number with good torque. You should check P2V but unshaved 215's have better P2V than stock due to the 15* valve angle, so you may not need to flycut. That should net you around 460-470rwhp on a M6 with all the other bolt ons and 480+ with a ported 90/90 combo. That is how Vengeance racing have been cranking out NA cars in the 480-510rwhp range.

I subjected my stock-bottom to 576rwhp/590rwtq with heads/cam/100shot and it lasted for a few years before pushing a head-gasket. These engines are pretty tough... Anyways, 500+rwhp is not a cheap or easy proposition for a heads/cam car. Most GOOD set-ups are in the 450rwhp range. Mine was GOOD for 2002 and made 436/420 with a nitrous cam. Of course that was before AFR, Dart, ETP, etc heads, but you get the idea. When I pushed the head-gasket, I decided to go with a forged 383, but my internals looked fine, so I'd honestly recommend heads/cam/small shot to achieve your goals.
