piston to valve clearance?
Ran into a TSP guy at the gas pump and he suggested the torquer v2 to me while we were talking, but when I told him I was getting patriot stage IIs he said I might have a problem with piston to valve clearance. He didn't know for sure though, so I am asking you guys. If it won't work, then what is the cutoff on cam size that is acceptable with stage IIs, and what heads are guys with cams such as the Torquer V2 and MS3 etc running?

I can't see any issues with P2V if you get those heads with stock CC chambers.
Still gonna be close though...those cams are big and push the limits.
There is always flycutting the pistons. Although that is something I wouldn't trust myself to do.
If nothing else...call TSP and ask them about it. They are realy good about answering any/all questions.2008 Trailblazer SS

Do you know the specs of the torquer V2? I was thinkin on getting the 231/237 589 595, but he said those were old cuts and that I should think about the TV2. Is it significantly larger than that 231/237? I think he said the TV2 is 231/234 but he didn't say anything about the lift. I don't really need something huge.
Off the subject, he was running an MS3 and it sounded badd f'n ass, he said he doesn't have the guts to get an MS4 with lift of .64x

street and strip use. dyno #s would be nice, but don't mean anything if I can't put it down on the road. I got Torquer v2 numbers 232/234 .595 .598

I am thinking you don't need the biggest cam to get good strip ET's.
And still have a car that most won't want to F with on the street.

torquer isn't huge though, well I never thought of it that way. 228 588 might be fine with me. Just can't decide if I am willing to get the 224 588 that everyone and their momma has already
