99 H/C SS vs. 97 H/C cobra
Both are heads and cam. I have the ss, who do you think will win?

my vote goes for the SS...the cobras of that year were not to quick...ive put about 2 CL on a modded 97 cobra (intake, exhaust, pro shifter) when i was stock...they are low to mid 14 sec cars....with heads and cam i imagine they would be about a mid to low 13 sec car. ive seen a heads and cam 96 cobra go 13.6

SS without a doubt

I highly doubt the cobra would have ported heads and cams. That would be an easy 400+ hp. What are the rest of the mods?

A lot of people don't touch the heads and cams on a 4V modular. Why? They got 4V per cylinder, plenty of stock flow, and enough flow for a supercharger. Plus, the supercharger adds 50% more power, vs. like 10% with a heads/cams swap??? WITH similar cost. Are you sure about that?
Anyway, without a supercharger, it is going to be hard for that snake to keep up with a H/C LS1. Even with the supercharger.Heads 'n Cammed, Moser 12, 3.73's, Weight Reduction, 13" Brembo Kit
BMR track suspension, full exhaust, the works...
412whp/394wtq 1/4 mile slip coming soon!

There's not a lot you can buy today as far as heads and cams. Cams have been out a couple of years at most. Someone could have gotten special cams made but for the general car guy they haven't been available. As far as heads, I think maybe there is one company making new heads. To run in a heads/cam 4v would be a rare thing.

That is pretty funny considering my friend has a 98 Cobra Convertible, a little heavier than a coupe, and with a CAI and flowmasters went 13.6 on street tires at 100mph with a 2.0 60".
Can you even drive? From the sounds of it not if all you could pull out of a 4v was 14's.
Heads Cam gears and some other supporting mods easily 12's.... IF you can drive.
