Serious problems help
my car started to become seriously jerky at random.. rpm needle bounces around like its and crack and theres some backfire kina noise... clutch in and it idles at like 2000rpm... I have a scanner and ill check it when I leave work but a ideas right now? it was almost like it was running out of gas kinda sound

scan it and see. could also be a misfire from a burnt wire. do you still have cats on the car? if you can check the fuel pressure.

another thing to do is when it is dark let it idle. check all the wires and plug boots for arcing. you will be able to see the blue spark at night. i had a clogged cat on a car and it had those same symptoms. i guess that is one thing eliminated.
