The SS has been replaced......
Sorry to see the 02' SS go, but she went to a great home and I can see her whenever I want....well, that may be good or bad....
But.....I have finally found a car I always wanted again.....an IROC-Z.
1989 Iroc
5.7 / Auto
58,000 Miles
Completely stock!!
I drove it the other day and bought her on the spot. I had one of these when the wife and I were younger and had to sell it when we started having kids. It was red w/ t-tops, but otherwise identical. This guy took excellent care of this car, it is nice to see that.
I know I will miss the performance of the SS, but I am happy with the IROC.....Last edited by pinky93; 11-18-2007 at 03:25 PM.

Black on Black- 2001 Camaro SS
It really depends on how the car is being used, on how well it was maintained.

It might be that autos are more consistant. Before you run your mouth do some checking on how many drag racers run sticks. I don't mean street ricers. I mean Pros.

Oh ok Im not trying to flame but, I think anyone who knows how to shift will get better results then using an automatic. Also, how are they drag racing pros if all they are doing is steping on a pedal? No shifting, no turning, no looking at the RPMS, just stepping on a pedal in a fast car makes you a pro? Damn how much do they get paid !!??!

There is more to an auto than hitting the gas. But in an auto you can pull a better 60ft. Another thing to chk on is trans brakes and line lockers. this is all part of drag in an auto. I said before I had a civic. Yes it was a five speed but a civic needs the manual to stay in the high RPM range.

I know that kids think they're all-that if they can drive their moms stick shift civic, but most of the time, you had better be a damn good driver if you think you can shift as well as an automatic. I have an automatic, not because I can't drive a manual, but because the idea of sitting in an hour of traffic each day to go to school didn't sound like much fun with a manual. If this was my weekend car, of course I would get a manual. Why are you flaming this guy? Looking at all your other posts on this board, I'm suprised you haven't gotten banned yet. And if you care, the numbers for that year were 240hp/345tq.
To pinky93: Awesome car man, I wish mine was in as good condition as yours is, mines white as well, except it has t-tops and no rear window louvers. Also the previous owner didn't bother to put the Iroc decals when he had it repainted but cool ride man
