    1/4 mile times?

What should I be expecting w/ this combination? I've gone mid to low 13's on 315/35-17 Radials. Thought I'd be in the 12's, guess not

    -SLP L/T Headers
    -Random Tech Cats
    -Loudmouth Catback
    -02 Sims
    -Diablo Sport Power Programmer
    -SLP Lid w/ K&N
    -SLP MAF
-M6 (Stock Hurst Shifter & Clutch)

I was thinking of going with either cam only or heads and cam.......I'm currently trying to build myself a 9inch so we'll see how that goes. I'd also like to swap to an ls6 intake and larger fuel injectors to make up for the larger amount of air. Any suggestions are appreciated!

I would say you are right to expect 12's, but a lot depends on weather conditions when you tested. I ran the SLP Lid, SLP MAF and a K&N on my car with no tune and the MAF was causing detonation above 4000 rpms in 3rd. I took it off for now, but with just the mods below, I was running 13.3's @ 107mph. This at about 50 degree air temp and low humidity, only 600 feet above sea level.

Remember too that ET's are a function of traction and your launch, where MPH is a good indicator of HP. What was your trap on the runs?

I can't remember off hand but my trap speeds were fairly high, I wanna say around 107-109. One of my best passes (from what I can remember, I have to find my slips) was 109.30. The track I ran at was Beaver Springs and it's under their 100 mph club. I'm #60 http://www.beaversprings.com/100mphclub.html

01-02=ls6 intake and no egr, I'm stuck w/ the ls1 intake and egr, both will be coming off soon as I do a heads & cam swap. I'll either be putting an ls6 intake or the f.a.s.t setup, not sure yet.

You got a loudmouth system w/ SLP longtubes. Do you have a video clip. I was thinking about LT's but dont wanna lose the loudmouth sound to much. If you could send a video i would greatly appreciate it.

It is very loud. But i like it. Other than my friends car that has heads and a cam, i think mine is one of the loudest around here.

I've ran mine w/ the ory and its loud. I don't mind it being loud, I drive an asphalt late model and that thing is deffining after 30 laps. The loud mouth w/ the ory does get raspy on top end tho, thats my only complaint. I'm goin for the heads/cam package the end of this year.......can't wait. Suggestions? I was thinking along the lines of TREX and LS6 stage II's.....

What kinda conditions? I have too much wheel spin and wheel hop. My best 60ft was like maybe a 2.0-2.2 (which is horrible). I just can't bite at all.

It was at Gainsville right after Gator Nationals and the track was pretty much perfect, but I blew the start. I doubt I would have had a much higher ET though. That's obvioulsy sea level at about 95 degrees, humidity was HIGH. That was my first time to a 1/4 track in that car ever. It's an M6 1LE, which I'm guessing if you have an SS is at least 500lbs lighter. My car has pretty much alway been 2/10th faster than anybody elses Z's. I attribute that to the less fat.

Once I got my LT's and a airbox and all the free mods and a set of MT's Sportsman's I ran 12.5 with a 1.8 60, then when I installed my 100 shot I hit 11.9 at 118 ,but burnt(glazed) my clutch and it let loose. Also the MT's hurt my top speed, I ran lower ET's with lower MPH's

Fat wise, I'm only 155 lbs......lol....anyway...Between the tire spin, and I think my clutch is on its way out, I glazed it and its been slippin ever since....I have a ram clutch in the works so hopefully that will fix it. I've seen cars faster and slower than mine, both w/ and w/o mods. I guess it depends on your driving ability and track location.......I'm use to an asphalt latemodel, which only goes in circles...no shifting either.....so I'm getting use the the drag racing.....which I like equally.

I was only about 2-3/10th faster than my friends stock '98 on the same day, but he had a full model with ground effects and electric everything. They say every 100lbs is worth a 10th right? that should be 5/1oth right.

Believe me, you aren't the only one that couldn't believe it LOL
