What is the average cost of a complete tranny rebuild

My tranny needs all new synchros, clutch and everything else you can think of . What is the average cost for the complete tear down and rebuild for the m6 ? Thanks, all I really want is a ball park $ . I know the guys at the transmission shop and think I am getting a good deal on everything , but just wanted to make sure.
I also figured while they are in there I might as well have it all rebuilt , maybe that way I could avoid future problems.

$1000-1500 range

Depends on how bad the tranny is torn up. If you need new gears the price goes up very quick. When I was looking to get mine rebuilt it was going to be around 1500 with them taking the tranny out. That was without getting a new clutch as well. I imagine you could find yourself spending anywhere from 1000 to just about any number you could think of depending on what you have broken and need done. A good place to check on some prices would be SixSpeedinc. I would definatly invest in getting a rebuild similar to what they do. Might cost a bit more, but it should hold up a lot better.

strictly performance motorsports in van nuys will do a full race tranny wityh a warranty on it for 2 k and the warranty is what ever u put behind it it will take it i beat the hell out of mine for over a year no issues...

I wa squoted over 2k by couple of shops around. I did a complete rebuild along with a new clutch and flywheel and just about everything else you could think of. The total cost was $1400.
