My ass is finally in a car that has it's own balls! This is my first post so I figure i'll give my reasoning for converting to camaroism! My first car was a 95' GT, gt40 aluminum heads, edelbroch intake manifold, cold air intake, underdrive pulleys,world class t-5 tranny, 3.73's, king cobra clutch, shorty headers, off-road h pipe, flowmaster dumps, etc.....etc. So, as you'd expect I was hooked to ford. Well about 2 years ago I test drove a 2004 GT, huh, I almost threw up......twice. I revved it up tried to drop the clutch and see what she had and all I did was WAIT, and wait, and wait, the power never came! and there I went, no longer was I a ford hopeful, though they almost got me back after driving an 04' cobra but that's where the obvious differences hit me....like pricing! I was recently tempted and the decision was easily reached. In one hand was the key's to an '04 Cobra, manual tranny, all options, with 38k miles for a price of $27.5 full warranty for an extra $2k or in the other hand was a black '01 z28, automatic tranny, most z28 options, with 54k miles, one owner for a price of $11k! Well, the only thing that the z didn't have was the manual other than that the decsion was simple, because for about what $4 or 5k i could kill that Cobra in my sleep! Long story short, it's awesome to finally be an F body owner, and I'll be buggin' everyone for tips, so hopefully that's cool. Later!!!
