Would like advice on my next "bolt on"

I was informed of your site by 1fastcamarosss11. I'm seventy three, used to race in the 50's and 60's, live in MD and getting back into it. Car is an '02 Camaro, dark blue, auto, 3:70's, headers, high flow cats, Granatelli MAF, SLP air cleaner, Mobil 1 10-30. 12:42 is my best w/street tires. I'm going to MT 17" street slicks for my next move. Opinions appreciated. Sam

Thanks, Sounds like good advice. I don't know if this is common knowledge or not but I found out that my "02" with the SS package has larger disc brake calipers than the Z28. I reckon thats why they went to 17" wheels.....duh! I was gonna put the smallest little doughnut wheels on the front I could buy but I haven't talked to anyone that has a narrow 3 1/2" that will clear.

If you put 15's you have to shave down the calipers some guys have done it

I have other cars but I'd like to be able to cruise around in it when I have the urge, grocery store, yada, yada. Thanks for your interest and the reply. Sam

Thanks, You "guys" have an answer for everything it seems. If I went to the trouble you suggest, could I expect a noticeable difference in times or is it strictly a cosmetic look that guys are after? Sam

with a stall u will notice a difference in ur times. launching an auto is always pretty horrible... the stall fixes that. thus giving u a much better run

exhaust and what not would increase a little bit, but i dont think itd be as drastic as a stall
