    Powerglide

Has anyone tried using a Powerglide transmission? I have tried a search with no luck on this site. What would be the Pro's and Con's? What type car would you recommend or not recommend this for? I am looking for a daily driver with the potential for forced induction later.

    Thanks.

Powerglide pros is only one gear change. And can be built stronger than a 350 however unless you are pushing well over a 1k horsepower a well built 350 would be fine and be easier to live with on the street.

Why not for highways? Do they both noit typically have a 1.00 final gear? Heat? I would think the opposite...not for stop and go.
