Athletes you HATE the most...
In response to the other thread asking for your fav athletes of all time...
What athletes over the years have you grown to loathe????
For me...
Michael Irvin - great receiver, too much of a hot dog and made me want to jump out of my skin as an analyst.
Pacman Jones - How dumb do you really have to be?
Barry Bonds - not because of roids, because he is an asshole.
Rafael Palmeiro - lied and blamed a teammate.
Roger Clemens - probably the most overrated pitcher right now in baseball and he is a huge prick to boot.
Dhani Jones - probably one of the most overrated LB's in the game right now.
TO - I just cant think of a worse teammate to have in the locker room.

I'll say Beckham just cause soccer is gay, and now I have to turn on the sports news on tv and waste time hearing about it until i can get to real sports.

There's a degree of *violence* that is the *juice* for athletic competition ...
so I imagine OJ will meet a befitting end if their is any justice in the world ...

Why do I say he is overrated now? Because he is making something ridiculous like 10 million dollars a start...and he gave up what...8 runs in the second inning the other night? He is overrated right now.
I agree with you that he is one of the greats as far as his career is concerned, but the Yankees paying him like they would pay Johan Santana or something like that makes me feel like he is seriously overrated.
Kudos to him for being a 45 year old pitcher and still maintaining the velocity he does on his fastballs...I think steroids probably has something to do with that though.

well i used to be a huge hockey nut, so basically every player on the redwings in the 90s except for yzerman...
tie dome
chris chelios
brett hull (because he always bitched about the blues after he did all his work here. and the fact that i met him on a few occasions and he's a big asshole.)
TO
it would be less time consuming to write the players that i do like in basketball, but i dont have that kind of motivation despite there only being 10 of them....

iverson is a self centered guy and a selfish player. i was also a huge basketball fan and liked him for many years and then i realized how ignorant it was that the 76ers kept having to trade decent players just to try to build a team around one guy who takes too many shots and chokes in the playoffs. look at larry hughes (hometown guy for me) and what that was like playing with iverson, he adopted the image, got hardly any court time, and was traded by seasons end. now 4 years later he's still trying to shake the thug appeal and selfish play he learned from AI.

LOL, well he does shoot alot, no complaints there, but who is the best player he played with? Mutombo LOL most the people he played with were out of their prime or never had one. Huges is a average player at best to put him any higher is crazy. O and BTW do you know how many assists iverson has averaged the last 4 seasons??? 7.something. if you hate him thats fine, but make sure you know why.
