How old is too old...
So as I sit here and BS, I think to myself, man I need to get a better job. I have a good job with good pay, but zero benefits. No health insurance, no 401k, nothing. As I start to get older (I'm 29) I know I will start getting sick. Right now, not so much but the occasional cold,flu.etc. But later? You never know. I realize that in order to get a good job, you need a degree of some sort. So I was thinking of getting a Business Degree. Which brings me to my question. Am I too old to go to school? Or would it be best to do one of those online degrees? Hell are they any good? I am talking about KAPLAN, Pheonix and such. Or would it be best to just say F'it. Live my life as it is?
I could always start to play LOTTO and cross my fingers, lol.

You're never too old to go to school. I have a buddy who just turned 28 and is in his junior year at college. The piece of paper saying you did your time at a 4 year institution is important to a lot of employers, but not every one of them.
Don't play Lotto. That's the stupid people tax.

29 and you are getting old?!?!?!?!?!
I am a young 45. I have found that there are so many reasosn why things are the way they are.
Some people have degrees, have great jobs. Some do not.
Some people have No degrees, have great jobs (I). Some do not.
The key is to find what makes you happy.
And then get Afflac!!!!!

Get SOMETHING going so when your 40 you don't look up and say Oh SH!T, I am supposed to retire in 25 years and I don't have anything, house, IRA, 401, Pension, Nothing... Some days I wanna put a gun in my mouth...other days I think I can get it again. Time will tell if I get to retire, or I get to walk the streets and collect cans. Think on that I dare ya

Well I am 26 & I am still in school!! Right out of high school I went to college, got my associates in Business Administration & got a job. Great benefits & everything, but the pay sucks So I have been back in college since 2004 & I have been taking 1-2 classes a semester, don't want to burn my self out! But I am almost done, as of now, I have 5 classes left, so hoping to be done by this time next year w/ my bachelors! But I don't think you are too old, there were some old people in my classes, 50-60's!!

Never too old to change careers as people do it al the time.
If the change requires more education so be it!

No way dude, go to school! You could just take courses at your local community college, do well, then go to the local state college or university if you so choose. If anything, it is a good experience and it is nice to have if you have kids...I am the first from my family to earn a degree, so I know that a lot of parents feel that if they dont have a degree how is it going to look to their kids when they preach education to them when they get older.

if youre talking about bettering your life, there is never a saying 'how old is too old'...
make the changes you need to to make sure that you are taken care of by yourself cause no one is going to better your life for you...
time sometime to figure out both your short-term and long-term goals, and then go make it happen!

You don't need a degree to get a good job...if you have a clean background and some common sense i'm sure there's P.D.'s around you that are hiring. Hell most around here have a 3% at 30 retirement...meaning in 30 years you can retire with 90% of your highest pay. You can also buy back your military time but it's really expensive.
