Gas mileage
Can any 1998-2002 V-6 guys tell me what your fuel mileage is....especially for city but I'm interested in highway as well. And this is stock...not for a modified 3.8. Thanks.

Yeah man, I don't know what's going on. I get horrible gas mileage, but I do a lot of stop and go. Anyone got any tips?
I have somewhat of a dirty filter, I don't know if my ECU is tuned or anything else for that matter. I have a problem with my tires and I don't know crap about my car. >.<

I get around 20 city and 25 plus highway. Only mods are Pacesetter headers and 3" Borla exhaust. On the down side I also have 275/40/17 tires, that are much heaver then the 235/55/16. It went up about 3 MPG on the highway with the exhaust the city didn't change.

I no that if u got ur A/C blowing really cold and hi it affects gas mileage. and if you got a lil extra cargo ur always carrying. Also ur brakes play a lil part in it.

ROFL, then mythbusters fails...
My girls GTI has a real time MPG readout... going 85, drop the windows all the way down, I immediately lose 3 mpg... and I tried the AC vs windows trick... in that car, anything over 50 the AC gets better mileage... (areo sux on it I guess)Last edited by MadSeason; 10-08-2007 at 03:49 PM.
