A/c help
Turn a/c on but compressor doesn't turn on? It was working just a couple of days ago. Need to know how to get compressor to run so I can check if it is low. Haynes manual says use a jumper wire I need a little more help then that. thanks everybody in advance

Did you check the fuse?
Generally, a jumper wire takes a hot source - like battery - and jumps it to the positive terminal of the compressor clutch.

you can jump low pressure switch and compressor should come on to find out if it is low.

unplug low pressure switch and jump the ends of the switch together. this will tell you if the compressor is working

Thanks for the help I really appreciate it. But I'm still confused. For me to use a wire to get the clutch to engage I need to use it on the sensor in the line or the wiring I unplug from the sensor? And then which wire to where? There are three wires on that sensor red black and grey? Sorry for my confusion I've tried a couple of diffrent ways and the only thing that happens is the check engine light goes on and then off and the fan comes on with the check engine light. Again really appreciate the help

If your A/C system is low on R-134, the compressor will not run until the system is re-filled.
