Low temp thermostat
Is this a good investment? Can you tell a difference? Will your car run better? I have a few bolt-ons, but mostly stock. The car is daily driven. Any input

not really a big plus. it causes the coolant to cycle too much...or so I've heard from others. I would be reluctant to do it...until you really need it. I have not done it yet for this reason. I believe it also increases emissions if that is a concern.

Set mine at 160, no problems here, its always better to run a bit cooler if you ask me...

to me, it is. can't really tell a difference. mainly helps in keeping detonation in check. it can run better, because the motor is cooler, which keeps the intake cooler. but this is slight. i drive mine every day.
for it to be effective, you need to have the fans set lower to match it. factory, they are set at fan #1 226* and fan #2 234*.
a t-stat is nothing more than a door. the water temp won't be any lower than what it is designed to open at.Cold Air Intake, Muffler Delete, Vinci High Performance Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Pushrods, Yella Terra 1.85 Rockers, Some Hydropdipped Stuff, Strut Tower Brace, Some SS Badges, boost/vacuum gauge, fuel pressure gauge, some checkered stripes, drilled/slotted rotors, ZL1addons Stealth wickerbill, Ruxifey LED side markers

I will say yes. But like it was mentioned you want to have the fans programmed to come on sooner. My average temperature is 177* cruising and around 185*-190* after beating on it on the highway for a longer period of time.

i tell ya i got the SLP fan switch like 2 years ago and its great, there's three switch positions , HIGH, STOCK, LOW settings, the install is easy and its not that expensive,
even if you leave the fans on for like 5 hours they wont kill your battery

BTW temperatures where taken through hptuner's scanner dirrectly from the computer as the stock temperature gauge is a joke.
