    Another tire question...with a twist

    15x3.5 ProStars.

I have heard of guys running those little Bug tires on them.
    Safe???

Or should I spring for the M/T front drags??

    Opinions??
These will not be on the car for street driving. At the most just to and from the track....25 miles give or take each way.

seeing as you are using the DRs use the 165r15 'bug' tires. you want to keep same type of tires all the way around. if running steel belted tires in the rear, use steel belted tires on the front. if using bias tires (slicks, ET Streets, Sportsman Pros), then use the same bias tires up front.

    Sure.

I really don't have any idea. I would hate for something to happen though halfway down the track.

    Not really.
After you helping me out, and researching it, I don't think I want them on the car if I drive it to the track.

Those are tubed tires right?? I am only running the M/T DR's out back, so I don't want to mix tires.

1200 lbs per tire is not much.
even if front is less than 2400 lbs, whenever you corner, even if not hard, you put a greater load on the outside tires.
I'd take tires that aren't meant to be on a bicycle.

I just looked up the BFG DR's. 315/35/17.
They are rated at 14xx pounds.

As mentioned, these are for drag strip use. Not cornering.

i'll be picking them up friday. the guy i'm getting them from bought them, mounted them to the wheels and never used them. i was thinking $125.00 for both. a little less than the cost of one according to summit. not sure exactly which size they are. i'll know friday.
