Sunset Orange Metallic- 2002 Camaro SS M6
Clearcoated Headlights
Has anyone done this? I wanna get rid of the damn weather fogging on my headlights for good, and this seems the only way to do it. If anyone has done it, can you post pics or steps on how you did it? (I.E. what type of clearcoat, did you bake it, etc)

Yep. Polishing works until the first rain, or car wash, and then fades away. My headlights aren't too bad, since my car is a 2002. I've heard of people sanding down their lenses and shooting some clear on there and the lights look brand new again. I just wanna see some pics and stuff

I am a Service Manger at a Goodyear in TX and we sell a kit that basically you take 3 different grits of sand paper and sand off the old clearcoat and then add a new clear coat and let it sit overnight before you drive it, if you do it right it comes out pretty good and has a lifetime warranty. The kit comes with everything you would need from the sandpaper to the clearcoat. I dont know if you have a goodyear near you or if you can buy Everwear products but thats who sells it. If you cant find it, i can sell you a kit and ship it to you, i think i could do it for $30 plus shipping.
Anyone else can do this as well, just PM me

Thanks for the info Lucky 13. I'll see if there is an outlet here that sells that stuff. If not I'll send you a PM.

i did this to mine. wet sanded with 800 1200 then 2000. then cleared it looked a whole lot better but still not like new. at least you can see through them. i would just buy after market ones since you have to take them out anyways. you have a very nice car so just save uo and get some aftermarket ones off ebay. ive seen them as cheap as $100 i think?
