Aftermarket mounts will/can reduce some weight and change engine position in engine bay.
Either will do.

Red- 02' Z28 M6
so are you saying that we should replace with GM stock mounts in order to get the "true" engine position and weight? GM stock motor mounts are $110 a piece, you can go get aftermarket "stock" mounts for $10 a piece.

I keep breaking stock mounts. I'm on my second set, and now I hear that damn rattling again coming from under the hood. I got the stock ones from a dealer here in town for 75.00 apiece.

They are probably pretty easy to change out. I had to lift the motor off one of the mounts for my header install. Just change the mounts one at a time. Get a cherry picker and lift the engine on one side and have it pivot on the other mount. Then take the mount off the frame and off the block, put the new one in and put it back on the engine and the frame. Then just do it to the other side. This way, you don't have to lift the entire engine up at one time.
And if I were going through the trouble of changing mounts, I would go aftermarket for the weight reduction and strength increase.
And I said they can change the position of the engine because they make special mounts that are smaller to move the engine further down or further back. But if they don't advertise that, then they are factory style mounts.
