    quick tip for auto drivers

well i went to the track and ran my 2000 camaro z28 a4 with 2.73 gears

    stock i ran 13.56@104mph

later i bought the slp cai and ran a best of 13.26 @106 mph

i did run a lot of 13.3 but was able to dip into 13.2 every other run

i went to the track last night and was running preety much the same

i did have it i drive the entire time, I also read a thread on this site that stated it was best do do so, well thats not true

just to test it i started in first shifted at 5500 and did the same going into third first run was 13.15 @106.88mph and was pretty consistant running low 13.2's

i believe the difference is when you manually shift from 1 to 2 it is a much firmer shift from what it feels like, giving you the extra boost, be careful not to hit the rev limit cause it will slow ya down, when i shifted into 3 it felt the same. my next mod is probably going to be a programer so i can stiffen the 2 to 3 shift, then i will see if it still makes a difference manually, maby not if it shifts hard by itself

let me know if any of you other auto guys test this and see the same gains

nah, no worries you didnt do that, but it does not matter if the car is a 6spd or an auto. when you reprogram your car it does not ask if you have an auto or manual. it only locks the HPPIII to your car when you have the HPPIII installed in the cars PCM (that is when you cannot use it on another car...as you said and are correct in being 'flashed'). when you detune back to stock it clears out everything, takes the car back to factory settings and then the HPPIII is clear and good to go for another car: camaro, firebird, or corvette of the same year. the person i bought the programmer from had an automatic camaro, so i had no problems at all with Hyper-Teching my car. the only reason im selling it and took my car back to stock is because im going with a custom tune. should he not be interested, its ok. im not out to scam anyone. just figured this would be EBAY anyday, and i might post in the 'Part for Sale' here to sell it.
