Look into dished pistons and/or different heads.

So you want a whole new assembled engine?? Or a kit to rebuild your current one??

Because if you're looking for a block designed for boosted applications, the new GM LSX block would be perfect. Its supposed to be designed to wishstand 2,500HP no problem, which is incredible.

Oh okay...the LSX is a completely bare block, you would need all the bottom end components.

Yes the cast iron LSX block is going to be the ultimate. But as of Tue. of last week it's still NOT released. The wonderful reps told me personally start of Feb. at S.E.M.A. I knew better. But even with 20lbs. of boost and more we stay with at least 9.1 compression. With a mear 8lbs your have NO issues even with a stock block. Although I'd keep the bore small or smaller than your thinking. The problem is you loose needed sealing space in between cylinders so head gasket seal is || that thick. Just make sure your pistons offer a lowered ring package. It makes the piston head thicker for more strenth for the heat created by the boost.
Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!
