    ZR1s or Z06s for performance

Hey guys. Currently I have chrome 18' Z06 rims all around that are all 9.5. They are the replicas and nonstaggard. Tires are all 275/35/18.
I am considering buying staggard alloy 17' ZR1s because they should
    A. be lighter because of alloy and smaller rim size
    B. fit 315s on them for more traction
    C. lower my ride height

Am I correct in all this? Or are ZR1s not that great/heavy?Suggestions? Thanks

I had the same size Z06's as you have and went to ZR1's. I did not notice that much of a difference. But then again I went 17x9.5 ZR1's all the way around. If you want more traction you can get a set of 18x10.5 Z06's for the rear.

17x11 would be nice but im lookin at the staggard rims on ebay.. they dont have 4 17x11s.. but im more worried about rear end traction than handling and i want less weight in the front. ls16spd- you said you have no problem hookin.. do you have drag radials or street tires?

you don't need 17x11 on the front...

    17x9.5 front and a 17x11 rear...
