    Clutch pedal travel is low

My car usually has 6-8 inches of clutch pedal travel, and the clutch engages midway through the throw... here lately it's been down to like 3-4 inches of total travel, although the engagement seems to have shifted to be midway between the new travel length.

    Any ideas?

Also, I forgot to mention that if I use my toe to pull the pedal all the way out, the first 2 inches or so of travel are spongy as hell...

I ran into a similar thing and found the clutch resevoir was empty (fun). Refilled with a new can of dot 3 (only took a couple ounces at most) and the pedal came back to the top. I have been watching it to see if I have a leak, but the level is holding for now, as is the pedal...
