18D Cock Diesel- 1999 Z28; 98 SS #2043 RIP
$11K sounds good!
$11K sounds about right. When I was looking to buy mine (last 2 months or so), I noticed a lot through private parties in the $8K-$11K range for Z28 cars. The SS cars ranged approximately $14K and up depending on the condition.
I found mine through a private party and paid only $4K. The guy thought that his tranny and engine were bad and that he had bad brakes. Nope, his ABS computer was screwed up! Upon inspection at repair facility, the rear wheels showed at 120MPH and front wheels at 2MPH. WTF?? Anyways, we redid the whole brake system and put new cross drilled slotted rotors and painted the calipers. I think a new ABS control unit is in the works now. I am waiting to find out. But I got a great bargain on the 1998 Z28 SS. I am happy with it.
I hope you find a good car at the right price. Good Luck!
