couple of noob ?s
Hey I'm new at this and could use some help. I have a 98 z28. Before the strip opens this year, I want to buy two things; a set of front "drag" springs and a cheap scan tool. I looked up drag springs and they are too expensive. What I want to know is will V6 springs lower the car too much in the front? The spring rate is 23o-ish lbs/in on the V6 and mine are around 300. That would help a bunch since I get no weight transfer right now. Next, the scan tool. The two abilities that it needs are deleting egr/air and changing the shift points/ firmness. I am really looking at saving some money, so the cheapest scan tool I can get to do these things would be great. Thank you

No idea on the springs
You will need a programmer like ls1edit or a Diablo tuner.

What about V6 springs sucks? I only drive 5 miles to work so there are some things that I can live with. Also, thank you for the info on the programmers, but I didn't see one in the list that can delete egr/air. Is there such a thing? Thank you

another option you have is to send your pcm off for a mail order tune. www.lsxtune.com is a sponsor and Frost posts regularly in the computer and tuning section. A fairly cheap option. He charges $125+ shipping I believe and can probably find you a few more HP in the process.
