600 Bones for Head Install & Tune?

Do you guys think this is a reasonable price for installing a set of Texas-Speed PRC heads on a 99 Z28? He is going to throw in the tune also. I was debating on whether to save that money, and do it myself. Do you guys think it will be worth my time to change the heads myself? I would still have to pay 150 for the tune if I did that.

if you are going that far, you better put a cam in it if don't have one already. would be a waste later if you get a cam/ bigger one those heads will need to come off again.

Got a cam. Unfortunately, when I changed the cam, I didn't have a new timing chain handy, or front main seal, so I used the old stuff. I will prolly need to pull that shit off AGAIN just to replace parts that I could NOT find at any parts store that weekend for some STRANGE reason. I went from Advance, Pep Boys, to Autozone, among others, and could not find a damn timing chain or front main seal to save my life. You would think this was the FIRST year of the LS1 or something.

Damn that is a helluva deal considering it normally cost about $400 for a dyno tune. Hell for the headache and the time let then do it. Then if something goes wrong its on them.

Jeff Creech over at Carolina Auto Masters gave me that quote. I don't know if that includes the misc crap you got to buy, like head gaskets.

600 for the whole deal sounds good. My dyno tune was 350.
