V6 Eclipse = slow

So its a little after midnight on a sunday night and im running out to grab something to eat since its late and dont feel like cooking. The roads are all empty except for this one 04 eclipse ahead of me. Well i get close to it and recognize the dick driving it as a guy who lives in my old apartment complex. Well he believes his car is the shit, one of those who covers the car in a thousand stickers and puts a coffee can on the exhaust and believes he can beat anything out there. Anyways the last time i saw him i still had my firebird, now i have a 02 WS6 same color as the firebird, and i pull up next to him and he yells nice body mods but you still cant beat me. I just laughed didnt even rev, didnt want to ruin the surprise, just waited for the light to turn green. Floored it chirped the tires in 2nd and 3rd and then let off the gas at this point i was about 10 cars in front of him. Got to the next light waited for him pull up next to me. He pulls up and his face is blood red, he starts yelling what the hell no way that just happened. Couldnt help myself and busted out laughing and said "Silly ricer next time buy a real car not a toy" and drove off.

ya they are pretty slow....raced an 03 or 04 once in my old car a 97 grand prix gtp slightly modded.....by 60mph i was 5 cars

Yeah normally probably wouldnt have bothered with a eclipse but this guy is a real douche and needed to be taught a lesson

The new Eclipses are not bad, but still not fast. My wife just got a 2007 Eclipse GT and it goes pretty good for a chick's car. The 2005 and older Eclipse GT's are really lame. I test drove a 2003 GTS new with that extra huge 10 HP, laughed and said this is slow. The sales guy was pissed at me!

People with Mitsubishi Eclipses don't learn anything ever....

I've raced the same dude twice already beating him by about 5-6 cars each time... in his NEW Eclipse V6... first time he said he didn't know his car yet... 2nd time was just emarasing for him...I was STOCK back then...and raced him in OverDRIVE...I'd hate to see what happens now that I am modded and now my car a lot better

werddd.....too funny..mine was a vert RS with a 700R4...slow and heavy as possible but had alot of good times in that car
