Silver- 1997 Corvette
How much RWHP will I make..
At present I have the following mods on my 1997 C5 A4 with 359.66 RWHP 344.22 RWTQ.
1. UD Pulley..
2. Long Tube Headers...
3. Hi-Flo Cats..
4. X-pipe..
5. Ti exhaust..
6. LS6 intake...
7. Ported TB...
8. HallTech Airbridge...
9. Blackwing..
10. 170 T-stat...
11. 3:42 Diff...
12. LS6 heads and LS6 cam (2002)
Having the LS6 heads ported, angle grind and milled slightly.
A 224/224 .568/568 lift LSA 115 COMP CAM.
Will I reach close to 400 RWHP?
Thanks..Last edited by Deneau Valteau; 12-22-2006 at 01:27 PM.

Thank you guys for your valuable input and confidence that I will achieve my HP goal. I want to see how a 400RWHP daily driver will feel

Jet Stream Blue- 2009 Lingenfelter ZR1
Sounds like a good combo, I'd say around 410 at the wheels.

Right on fellas!!! My tuner is damn good, but he won't predict the outcome of the mods in RWHP. Guess he doesn't want to disappoint me or himself

so do i ...... and when i passed smog my tech said i could have gone with a bigger cam!.....
if i had to do it again.... i might have gone a tad bigger.... maybe a
226/226 .580/.580 112 and if it didnt pass then just do a little de-tune before smog.

worst case is you would of had to slightly de-yune the car for the smog test,

hi I have basically the same cam too except I am at .561/.561 but at 114 LSA---I have Stock mildly "Cleaned up " LS6 heads---I changed only the cam (from stock 98 vette) and gained 27 RWHP on an A4--I was rather disappointed and if I had to do it over--I would go BIGGER---Chose this cam to pass the smog police in Calif--It passed fairly easy--so I am thinking something like a 228 to 229 around 113LSA if they make it woud pass smog--and maybe net me 35 to 40 RWHP instead of 27---The Head work you are having done is the unknown here--If you gain some compression you will gain some HP---unsure about angle milling results on a LS1--
