Computer decision
I currently have a deal in progress with 2 different year Trans ams one is a 93T/A with a 2000 body and interior WS6 makeover but still has a factory computer and LT1 with all the mods.
The other is a bone stock 98 T/A. The 93 in a straight trade for no money great deal for me. The 98 is 5500.00.
I will probably be changing the engine and tranny in either one I get
My question is with computers in the cars. What are my options with these computers and or just replace them? Then if I replace them what and whos brand do I replace them with and what else is envolved are there are any links to this?. Looking over the Sticky really did not answer my questions.
Thanks Mark

you would use the factory PCM and just reprogram it.
Cold Air Intake, Muffler Delete, Vinci High Performance Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Pushrods, Yella Terra 1.85 Rockers, Some Hydropdipped Stuff, Strut Tower Brace, Some SS Badges, boost/vacuum gauge, fuel pressure gauge, some checkered stripes, drilled/slotted rotors, ZL1addons Stealth wickerbill, Ruxifey LED side markers

I would love to but I just spent a but load of money wiped out savings. Plus I have this other deal in progress which is a trade no money changing hands. It was still available Sunday when I called. I will try to find it again on autotrader.

Many after market brands out there.....MoTech,F.A.S.T.,and AEM,Accell just to name a few....
it all depends on how "crazy" you plan on getting on the mods!!!Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!
